About

Hello friends! I'm so happy you clicked on this little "about" link. I'm guessing it's because you wanted to know a little bit more about the family behind "Little Brave".

My husband and I met while working at the same restaurant in 2009. We dated for almost 5 years before we got married this past October (2013). We had our beautiful daughter, Fern, in May of 2012. She was an unplanned blessing in our lives and I know Tristan would agree with me when I say, she totally rocked our worlds and made us look at everything in a new light. Every day is a new adventure with her, and I can't imagine my life without her.
You can read more gushy stuff about the way she makes me feel here in her first birthday post.

We live in and love Oklahoma City. It's grown so quickly and developed in so many ways. You'll be seeing a little bit about that on the blog! I change my mind on what I want to be when I grow up probably once a month. For now, to earn a little extra cash for my family, I drive for lyft and sell Mary Kay. Both of these jobs allow me to make that extra money, while still keeping my family my top priority above work.

My dream has always been to be a stay at home mom: keeping the house clean and growing a vegetable garden out back, making every meal from scratch. Although I'm still miles away from achieving this lifestyle, I hope you'll stick around and watch as I try.

This blog, for me, is about documenting family and the milestones we have together, sharing all of the awesome on-trend kids clothing & decor I come across, and sharing it with you guys with as many giveaways as I can fit into a year without totally overloading you! (once a month, if you were wondering) But more than any of that, I just want this blog to be about building community. Every email, comment, and like on instagram is seen and I try my best to reply to each one of them because I want you to know how much it meant for me that you saw what I posted. The new friends I've made through blogging has been the biggest surprise and blessing I could've imagined. I'm always up for adding on to that list! So drop by, and say hey. Send me an email if you want to chat, or have an idea for a collaboration. This is a happy place where dreams come true!

I'm an open book! If you have any more questions about us, feel free to email! I'll post and and answer them below for everyone who is wondering! littlebraveblog@gmail.com

FAQ:

How old are you all? I am 26, Tristan is 25, and Fern will be 2 at the end of May!
What are your beliefs? We are believers in Jesus Christ. We are believers in community, love and helping others. We currently do not attend a church, as we haven't found a place to call home yet. We've slacked on looking, but do have plans to seek out family in a church home soon. We just don't know what we're looking for yet.
What camera do you use? Let's get real. Mostly my iPhone. I do occasionally bust out the Cannon Rebel T1i. I lived with a professional photographer for a bit over the past year, she taught me some basics of using it.  If another picture is posted that wasn't taken by me, it'll be mentioned.
Do you host giveaways on your blog? Yes! we all love a good giveaway! If you're interested in giving something you've made away to promote your small business, shoot me an email at littlebraveblog[at]gmail[dot]com. I'd be so happy to talk it over with you. I host 1 giveaway per month & you get a great banner at the top of the "sponsors tower" on my sidebar. So fun!
note: I only host giveaways and sponsors who I feel will fit well with the direction Little Brave blog is taking. I reserve the right to remove your ad or decline your giveaway if I feel you have misrepresented the blog in any way.
